Some old hifi amps had ceramic phono inputs or even mic inputs (high Z),
more suitable to handle this kind of signal.

Or an effect device - chorus, fuzz... most guitarists uses some kind of
effect, so high impedance and sensibility at the amp input aren't so
important, as the effect device take care of it.
