There was a discussion about this on the MOTM list. Turns out Pauls S.
had a long talk with the guy and he is only a few miles away from MOTM.

The guy has a robotics biz and "has always wanted to build a big
modular".

I'll leave it to Paul or others to provide more details. 

Someone should order something and check it out. Apparently, it's not
vapor ware.
