3D Audio P51

Greetings all,

I put up a file on my site at www.xavax.com/bklein called m2to5.wav (there
isn't a clickon portal for it there yet...)

This file is over 2 meg I think and would take forever to download.  I
don't have an MP3 encoder yet (what should I get?) so if someone wants to
try downloading it and converting it and then forwarding it to me here I
can put it back up in a fashion easy for you to download and try.  In the
meantime I'll get the encoder program so I can put more things up on the
site.  This file is of a P51 Mustang at the Reno Air Races.  Listen to it
and note how many times you need to to get the full 3D realization of it
passing overhead 2 oclock to 5 oclock.    It blew its engine in the pass -
you hear that - and then declared mayday and landed safely.  Have a friend
listen to it without telling them the pass direction and see if they place
it overhead and behind on the first try.  You do need headphones to hear
this effect though.  I used the simple in-ear mics I describe on my site
with a Sony D3 to record it.  Got hours more I have to go through and
organize/clean up for a future 3D Air Race CD.....   ;-)
