replacing kb?

hi lists,

i gig with my jupiter 6 and prophet 600 and i have this crazy idea of
modifying the keyboard in the jup to be able to send velocity sensitivity
 & release velocity?) info over midi, so that i can use it to control my
sampler more effectively (i do not require that the jup synth engine itself
respond to velocity). would this require a replacement kb (if so, is it
feasible or would i have to really hack up the jup) or could i modify the
keys to add this functionality. i have basic electronics experience. any
info is appreciated.
