I wonder if could not have made that a
>continuously variable control by putting a pot in series with my largest
>value cap in that feedback loop?

this works, but only in a fairly limited manner.. Also another tone control
idea I tried out was to use 2 caps in series in the feedback, with the
junction of the 2 caps going to a variable res to gnd.. this is quite good,
gives a resonant filtery sort of sound at high settings [low vals of res]
the sound ,kind of gets more 'juicy'.. caution with minimum value of res
tho.. I used abt 3k3 in series with a 100K pot. Allowing this res to go to
low and the op amp sees it as a high capacitve load to ground and it
oscillates..
Last filter control was a simple RC lowpass off the op amp o/p [again, watch
out for min res vals!! followed up by a unity gain follower.. simple and
effective, lowpass.. good idea to have switchable caps for this as move the
freq too much and you run out of sinewave at the higher freq's

Cheers,
Dan
