Nat semi has a whole apps note on CMOS as linear in their early paper CMOS
data book.. I think they maybe didnt put this on their CD roms etc?
Interestingly no mention of the 4049 tricks, but gates as op amps etc is
all there..
I'd think that the extra pin on the 4011 would most probably act as a gate
terminal ie H= op amp, L= high level o/p.. Altho running gates with 2 analog
inputs could make for some interesting possibilites... 4081 and gate =
analog multiplier? [ring modulator]
