paia 9730 vcf, opinions

hi all,
I am on and off this list and listen mostly. I have built kits and used
modular system for about 10 years ( I have a salvaged 1 panel serge
system).

I would like to start building a second modular system for processing
nature sounds and there are soooo many designs , kits and pcb out there
on the net, I am wondering were to start.

Has anyone built the paia 9730 vcf? what does it sound like in your
subjective opinion? BTW anyone using the 4700 series still, love to hear
about these modules?

How about the filters from oakley systems?

I hope to gather various modules together and using the environment for
both source material and control material create an automatic
soundscape.....
