I have an 'external' input anyway (on the audio path), this would allow
users to feed this input

Most of the CVs will come straight from a set of common S&H's so they are
already buffered.
I also plan on Buffering the External audio input (obvious I suppose) and
adding a switch for
AC/DC coupling.
