Newby question on JFET 2n3819

New to this group and to synth diy-ing...

I'm trying my hand at EFM's single-switch-keyboard controller and I have a 
question about pin configurations on the 2n3819 JFET.

Looking at EFM's board layout I had a question about the pin config on the 
2n3904... I have data sheets on this and was able to confirm the transistor 
I have (TO-92 case) has different pin orders than his.  Don't ask me why.

But... this casts doubt on the JFET, for which I have no data sheets.

Can anyone clue me on the proper pin-outs for a Central Electronics TO-92 
cased 2n3819?  I've tried their web-site, but they deal exclusively with 
surface mount devices online.  No TO-92 data available.  I was unable to 
find another manufacturer to check with.  Grrrrr!
