super jx aftertouch question

greetings!

i just got a super jx from a harmonycentral.com sale. everything seems honky-dory, except that i can't get any response from aftertouch.

aftertouch for both a/b is enabled (per the super jx led readout). i can get aftertouch if i drive the super jx with my aftertouch-capable wavestation keyboard. i can't, however,
get any aftertouch on the wavestation if i drive it with the super jx. thus i'm assuming that the aftertouch is gonzo on the super jx. sound reasonable? (or am i missing
something?)

now for my question: does anyone know what fixing the super jx aftertouch might entail? could it be a loose connection/solder joint, something that happened during the ups
excursion? is it worth my opening the board, reseating components, and sniffin' around (given my hideously inadequate electroTroubleshooting skills)? any advice?
