BG-Micro: here is how to order

I work closely with my company's purchasing department...
If you need chips in small quantities... up to 3 or so, call
any manufacturer, ask for their local distributer and sales rep,
say you are a part of xyz manufacturing (pick a local name out of
the phone book). Tell them you are an engineer, and request samples.
This works soooo well!! and there are so many distributers for all
the chip manufacturers, you can hop around and get a ton of free
evaluation products... this works for your everyday op-amps and logic,
not just the latest TI DSP chips.

If you are ordering from a place like bg-micro, tell them the same thing..
or ask if you can get the discount for yourself because your company does so
much business with the distributer. Be nice, tell them you are unsure of the
account number,, all that diplomatic stuff...

forget bg micro... go with one of the big guns like Digikey, allied, avnet,
future...

if you need more advice in this arena, or if anyone wants me to get free
samples 4 u, email me directly.
