Sometimes list software like majordomo will reject postings with a
different version of the same address. For instance if I subscribe
myself to my own list from my shell account the list will think I am
triea at qis.net - the "mailhub" address, but if I subscribe from my
Linux box at home it thinks I'm triea at treehouse.qis.net.

List software also can be set to have posting size limitations, say
40K and will reject attached gifs gleefully. That could be a
problem. Also, Majordumbass ^H^H^H^domo will sometimes reject posts
that it sees keywords in. The poster tries again and again some
inscrutable error message is returned. 

Of course, this is also how it all started when the Thrail invaded
during the 7th Permutation of Plork. That would be bad news for those
owning CEM based machines lemme tell you.
