solder preferences

A few years ago, we did a comprehensive test of several different brands
of organic and no-clean solders. Several brands exhibited poor wetting
and were extremely frustrating to solder with. While the situation may
have changed, this study was why we adopted the use of the Kester
products.
I suspect that the Kester 245 has been improved since our original
research, because it seems to solder better these days.
Both the 331 and 245 compare very closely to rosin core solders in
solderability terms.
