PAIA 6770 Master Synchronizer -- PAIA's kit version of Craig Anderton's
1983 KEYBOARD magazine project, fully assembled with rack panel; requires
+/- 15 volts. Very flexible unit for reading/providing tape sync, driving
percussion units & envelope generators, and triggering/synchronizing
effects units. $75

Blacet Frequency Divider -- this is the original unit, from 1979 (might
differ from the version he's currently offering). Assembled, with
board-mounted pots (no front panel). Provides high level audio output mix
of four divisions (1, 1.5, 2 and 3) that can be filtered and remixed with
the original signal, or can be used singly for fun applications like
driving FM or ring-modulation inputs. (with simple modifications, front
panel jacks can be provided for each individual output, in addition to the
mix out; it's also pretty easy to add 4013s to provide further divisions,
down to discrete pulses).
There is also a really neat CONTROL output, with switch selectable
divisions of 4 through 4096, useful for frequency dependent triggering or
gating of other units; also a reset input. Requires +/- 15 volts.
Those folks who were recently complaining about "thin" sounding synth
patches would have a great time with this unit. $50

Shepard Function Generator -- the PAIA EK-9 kit from John Simonton's 1983
POLYPHONY article; assembled board, no front panel. Once described as the
"great mother of all LFOs", this unit provides eight pairs of control
voltages (ramp & triangle) at phases
0, 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, and 315 degrees, a sync input, and range and
frequency pots. This is the device used for generating the "Shepard Tone",
barberpole phasing, and any number of interesting or confusing stereo &
quad panning effects, and whatever other phase-related control situations
you can come up with (and possess the relevant equipment for). Requires +/-
12 to 15 volts. $35
