On of the few IC manufacturers who still make speach
devices is:

They have some interesting LPC,Formant devices.
Since they seams to be mostly used in educational
toys for children they might be fairly cheap to buy
for the average DIY'er!

Hey, you Americans on the list, anyone knowing
if Mattel manufacturers some speach toys?

I would just love to have a midi controllable
speach device, wouldnt you!!
Anyone in for the controll software?
a PIC could be a good device for controlling!

Noooo, i didnt say DSP since its not so DIY friendly!!!
