Compensating multi-stage feedback (was: RE: all tranny vca+ )

Thanks to eveyone who offered their perspective.  I never considered the
time lag for the feedback to start.  I can see how that would be multiplied
through multiple stages.  And, I would never select an op amp for a device
to overdrive.
HA... For that, (pulling Harry's fame suit on)  I would use a tube.  When I
went to 'lectronics school way back when, we liked tubes but were not to
sure about them new fangled TTL chips.

As always with this list, I learned a lot.
