Hi Andy,

RS are horrendously expensive if you dont have a business account

Farnell will send you huge free catalogues: www.farnell.com
and have a good range.

CPC have a good range too but mess up a lot
large free catalogue but you have to register:

www.cpc.co.uk

Rapid Electronics have a more limited range but are really cheap on
some things100 resistors @ £1.50 !

Catalogue costs a few quids though

I tend to use Rapid for most things because of price and reliability
but haverecently placed orders with Maplin, Rapid, Farnell and CPC
because I cant geteverything I need from one place.
I have just faxed an order to RadioShack in the USA because no one had
some ICsI wanted (at a reasonable price) in the UK.

Every time I pick up the RS catalogue I drop it because of the
ridiculous prices.

You could also get a catalogue from Grandata too, I haven't yet, they
turn upif you do a web search .

hope this is a help and a saving to you?

cheers..
