Thank Juergen, I thought there would be something else. It may well be
the way to go, but somehow once on a path, one has to follow it to its
conclusion. I will give the direct method one last blast today...

Thank you to all the other people with ideas as well. It seems that
there have been many others down this avenue before.

Tony... who is seeking a great new idea for a 'never been though of
module' but Serge and Buchla got there before me :-)
