Heh, that's something of the opposite of an idea I was tossing about...
specifically what *4* staggered delay lines would do. It seems to me that
in that moment of transition there would be some kind of unclarity, so why
not use an extra pair of lines to fill in that space with "properly"
discharging caps.
Note, now, that this is a completely uneducated musing!
