triggered s&h, in phasers or modules?

The others explained how to do this. Often this is done with the Roland
SH101 whose SH-Waveform of the LFO is normally triggered by the LFO, but
if a Ext. Clock (for Arpeggio or the built in Sequencer) is feeded the
S&H is triggerd by this clock.

I do not know whether other older Roland non modular synths had such a
feature. The Korg MS20 would do this also.
