The databook says in the preamble that the +5V "low voltage" series 
is "N-channel". This would certainly imply that, since it's obviously 
running off a negative supply, the MN3004 is PMOS. The datasheet in 
the book makes no mention either way.

Just scanned through the book. The datasheet for the MN3005 says that 
it's P-channel. There you go.
