Although I think that's part of the problem we've been looking at trying to
solve with a flywheel: the clocks from most PC seqs are terrible!  And it's
not just the response time of the PC when recieving, it's also the load when
transmitting down the FIFO when sending.

And I heartily agree that you can run a silly amount of code on most micros
in the time it takes to recieve a byte via MIDI!  Usually enough to parse
and respond.

But isn't that what we've been talking about avoiding in the first place
