I don't think so. MIDI systems widely use Running Status, and
realtime messages also are status bytes, so the 7-bit bytes after
status messages are related to them. So the velocity and note
information for the previous Running Status are lost, and in fact
are not handled at all, as realtime messages don't have any
data bytes associated with them.
