I am just getting into this Synth DIY thing and have lots of good advice from
you people on this list. I bought a FAT MAN and am about to start building it. I
am particularly interested though in a little devise I recently saw a guy using
over in Paris. I looked incredibly simple but, being a bit of a novice, I
couldn't fifure it out. It cosited of a long metal pole (possibly theramin) with
a little box attatched about half way up it, he had something resembling a
battery or maybe a light bulb in his hand. As he brought the objest closer to
the box on the pole a huge, distorted noise came out of his speaker, similar to
that of a chainsaw revving up. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to speak to
the bloke about it but I thought maybe one of you might have an idea,..if you do
please could you let me know...

Thanks again

Rob
