Hi folks..

In the unlikely event any of you ever get a Kawai S100F (not S100P) and it
dwevelops a habit of not responding to the keyboard gate circuit, don't
spensd weeks probing round the note-change detection circuit....check the
LFO for an open circuit.......That;'s what's just been fixed on mine....I
say it's unliely you'll ever own one (lket alone have it go wrong) cos
they'rwe so damn rare...mine is one of only two that I know of, the otehr
is in France (and it used to be in Italy....

New bizarre behaviour report...my M6R won't make a noise unless it's just
been initialised (power up holding down the STORE button, release the store
button)...if it's just initialised, patch 00 plays fine....change patch, no
sound, change back to 00, no sound, re-initialise and you get patch
00....The MIDI assignment appears to be working cos the front panel bits in
the display are lighting up (and it plays when initialised) and the sound
generation circuit is obviously OK....any ideas anyone?....I phoned round
several synth-fix shops, and although it is a far from common synth, they
all had two or three M6R's in, all wioth different problems....I've been in
mine and it seems well built enough, but there's a lot of stuff in
there....It's taking SYSEX OK, you can reprogram it from the front panel
and like I said it's working when initialised, but not otherwise....
