I have had the chance to play a little with a software called Raynoise
which does exactly that: throw waves around a room and compute all kinds
of stuff like Reverberation time, Sound pressure level, Echograms and a
long etc.
It even gives intelligibility approximations. It is a very professional
program at a price only big companies or universities can afford (~12000$)
Don't know the website, but a search should give results.

Theres another program called CAD-P2 (from speaker manufacturer JBL) which
also does acoustic simulations of these kind.
