Well, the Yardstick isn't exactly new.
I have never heard one, but it's strange that Quantec implemented
a *cut-down* version of their QRS after so many years of
technology advance. I mean it's nice to see a lot of discrete digital
hardware reduced to a modern DSP, but why on earth would they
make the decision not to implement the *whole* algorithmic power
of the original in the DSP ? Or in two DSP's, in case one is not
powerful enough ??

Now, Martin:
How about sampling some impulse responses of an original Quantec
QRS and use that for a real time convolver ? No need to fear the
Holy Inquisition, as with firing guns in cathedrals ...
