MIDI Timebase Box

Sorry, but I wasn't paying full attention to stuff I ought...
Someone (I'd love to give you credit) wrote that an F8 message
for clock can be generated by simply sending a 128 microsecond
pulse, where the line is normally high and the pulse is low.
This sounds possible with something as simple as a 555 timer and
an optoisolator. I realized that I really don't use the
wavesequence feature when I play music away from the computer.
Then it occured that I can't adjust the wavesequence clock. That
requires a MIDI time source. My setup will allow for a MIDI dumb
clock, no thru required as it will be the first device in the chain.

I can do this, but if someone else has already designed such a device,
please let me know. Privately if you like, I'm not sure how much
general interest there is in such a device.
