a simple vco

Can someone here help me i need to make the simplest vco possible.  I need
by tuesday a vco that is powered by a nine volt battery controlled by a 100
ohm potentiometer and out puts to a trs that can be sent to a guitar amp or
mixer.  Can some one here tell me how to do this.  A schemetic and parts
list would be great if possible.  It can be any wave form which ever is the
simplest but it has to be from parts that i can get from radio shack
