First, there's a mistake in vcs3 RM schem, 1K2 res at output pnp
should go to the -V not to gnd. I've uploaded the correction.

While looking thru MC1496 datasheet (looking similar to vcs rm), I've 
spotted app for  single 12V supply balanced mod. I wonder if I could
make nice stompbox rm powered only on single 9V battery, as all 
rm pedal effects I saw used +/- supply, is there a catch, like some DC
troubles or feedthru?

Last one: anyone has data on ad633's internal circuit connections,
as online datasheet doesn't contain it?
