TR-606 switch question

Without opening my 606 up, my guess is that those extra holes are for some
sort of extra frame that holds the pot to the board.  Many board mount pots
have some extra flanges to help secure them to the board, so that the
electrical connections aren't the only ones holding it down.  If those pads
don't run have traces leading anywhere else, this is probably the case.

And you're right, the switch in the volume pot is the power switch.  Just
like a car stereo, if you turn the volume all the way down, it'll cleck, and
you'll have switched it off.

9V is right.  I think it's the same adapter that Roland used for most of
their battery powered gear (pedals and the like) at that time.
