design proposal_Acoustic Modelling?

Hi All, 
  The recent discussion on analogue delay lines on this list 
reminded me of an article in Sound on Sound magazine a few 
years ago about synth a designer/constructor called Ron Berry  (is 
he on this list? ) who was using a home built BBD with his modular 
to do some kind of Acoustic Modelling synthesis.A copy of the

I'm no designer myself.Is this idea technically feasible ? Or was the 
article wishfull thinking? If it were true then this could be a great 
opportunity for the list to design a Synth DIY  "BBD/Acoustic 
Modelling" Module ?
