Anyone intimate with the ADC08831????

Y-ellow Y'all.
	Does anyone know the trick to talking to an ADC08831 A-D converter from
NSC? I've written code which I thought should read it but the documentation
is a bit ambiguous. It talks mainly about the ADC08832 which is a 2 channel
device and needs to be programmed where as the 31 only need to be read. 

If anyone knows this beast, preferably in 8051 code, I'd love to hear from
you.
