Several monolithic linear ic's available with matched transistors.. LM396?
[I think] is a dual matched trans in a metal 6 lead TO100 style round can,
or cheaper still are the CA3046, CA3086 etc which are 5 matched tr's in a 14
pin dip.. These should offer better results as all the transistors are on
the same block of silicon and so inherently temp. matched already.. Also the
mask etch IC mfr process should give a closer match than the 'dual
transistor' which usually consists of 2 selected matched transistor chips
mounted in a common package.. I've used a LM396 in a tri - sin converter
with good results..
Also, can anyone out there suggest a good site to find some valve VCO and
VCF designs? [only just got on the list you see]
