I also wanted to go to the Dentist with my 808 some month before, but
then i decided to call at Roland: They sent me switches and caps (but
they didn't have any dark red caps!). The most difficult is to remove
the cap from the switch. The switch has a rectangular black knob hanging
over the round internal switch. This knob plugs into the cap. The knob
itself is fixed with a thin strip of plastic to the case of the switch.
To remove the cap from the knob you have to press down the cap (!) and
go with a small screwdriver under the cap in the very small space
between the knob and the cap to lever the cap from the knob.
