That is one of the reasons, why we build here analogue synthesizers and
not digital controlled ;-)

The are three possibilities: 
1.) You use Pitchbend -> This is a awful thing for planning "which not I
am actually if I reduce this amount of PitchBend, and wher have I to
step to If I want a jump of two octaves..."
2.) You use in the software sequencer a transforming algorithm, that
converts your note information to a controller information. This
Controller byte you have to send to good D/A...
3.) You use a Controllerinformation to enable/disable the Gatesignal
