Hi Grant,

No offense taken (;->).
We all owe a lot to EN, and the mail archives should be full of
my expressions of delight when I first got in touch with that wealth
of information.
As somebody once said (I'm paraphrasing): "We're dwarfs, and the
only reason why we can look a little further is because we're sitting
on the shoulders of giants." It's good to remind ourselves of that from
time to to time.
I'm not so sure EN is the *only* "giant", though. I've found a lot to learn
from Korg circuits which I did not find in EN, for instance. I may be
wrong, I have not seen the *complete* EN set, but much of it. I'd love
to see these in-depth discussions about Korg's 1-transistor and 2-transistor
VCAs, 1-transistor and couple-of transistor VCFs, and so on.

So Terry did really invent the topology of this saw VCO, and Moog,
Buchla and Serge got it from EN ?? This is not a rhetorical question,
and in no way a flame, it's really historic interest. (And I'd love to
give Terry the credit when I'm discussing this VCO that almost everybody
used.)

This sounds like it's more than a guessing from your side.
And if so, it's very sad news. Please pass on my best wishes for
him and his wife when you happen to speak to him.

JH.
