It would be important to get the EN scanned in at high enough resolution.
Most documents on the web tend to be very lo-res to save space, but that
shouldn't be such an issue on CD.

I scan schematics at 400dpi, then adjust contrast and reduce colours to 16.
This produces relatively compact, readable schematics (eg

These are almost as legible as the original when printed out on a decent
laser.

Anyway, if anyone does get the go ahead from Bernie, I'll gladly take a
chunk for scanning / OCR.
