	Try joining the ATMEL list. The people there are almost as friendly a DIY.
(Though DIY would  take a lot of beating IMHO :) ) The Subbs are below.

You can also try taking a look at Don McKenzie's site. Purportedly the
world's large's ATMEL/AVR resource. You will find just about everything you
need there.

The Atmel Resources List by Kalle Pihlajasaari. Kalle has set up a list
server chat group for
Atmel products. You can send a message to atmel-request at pic.co.za with the
word JOIN in the 
message body. Use LEAVE instead of JOIN to remove yourself from the list.
