Hi all..
Latest fangled contraption I'm contemplating building is a keyboard to
interface to a synth I'm building. But I want something a little different
keyboard wise.
I'm looking for a keyboard that can generate continous pressure, rather than
a velocity or whatever. A MIDI master keyboard would be fine, but I can't
seem to find anything that generates a fully polyphonic pressure stream.
Though I would prefer a standalone mechanism if I where truthful..
Anyone any finds for an off-the-shelf part that might fit the bill for this
idea?
To hopefully answer any questions, I'm building up a "digital-mellotron" (if
you can call it that), and I want to enable control of each keys amplitude
to be derived from the pressure applied to the key, with a user controllable
cutoff off point for key-on/off, and/or to control filters that I'm using to
simulate the head movement.
I know it sounds barmy, but hey I thought it would be great to have that
kind of level of expression on a digtal device, and I've suddenly developed
a real mellotron mania, so I thought this would be a good starting point to
play with a pressure keyboard.
Regards
