If people really seems to have a correlation between possible RFI fields and
excessive noise levels in the audio range, then I think this really shows that
people does not design audio equipment with RFI suseptibility in mind. I would
actually say that none of the equipments I have seen is really good at it.

Most of the stuff would be viewed as being consumer goods with associated
limits. Maybe the requirements should be harder for proffesional audio?

As the number of radio sources has increased with things like cellular phones
etc. I think it is fair to see that it can contribute. However, just putting
a studio in a Faraday's cage type of isolation will not help from the sources
you put in there and also for any electrical connections going thru the shield
such as power cords. As any EMC aware designer knows will any electrical
conductor going thru the chassi of some box be a possible path for fields
inside a box to be emitted on the outside. By reciprocability will this also
be the case for comming into a box.
