The bad thing about these aluflex tubes is that sound travels *really* well
in them. You need to solve the issue some other way.

Actually, mounting HDDs in a wagon and use silicon rubber/plate-with-mass/
silicon rubber is a great way to remove noise from HDDs. Basically you lowpass
filter the audio path with a 3 pole filter. It is the physical transmission
path from the vibrating object to some large emission survace that can be
attacked in order to remove disturbing noise. I have a friend that did exactly
this to kill the noise, it really worked. You could only hear some hiss from
the airflow of the fan, but it was not too much.
