Diy Patch-bay

Normally, I would agree 100%. And, I like to use only the best of jacks.
However, if you are committed to a DIY patchbay, I can report that I bought
the exact same jacks (black plastic housing) that are used in the DBX and
ReAN patchbays from All Electronics surplus for $20 per hundred. They are
RTS jacks with switches ON three connections. They are made for circuit
board mount (like the patchbays are normally made). I will leave you to
individually judge if this quality meets your standards. Personally, I use
the switchcraft jacks in all my projects. I think I pay about $125 a
hundred for them.
