Beyond water cooling. (Was Re: Peltier devices for cooling)

Perhaps it isn't "convenient", but I've worked on sites where the
CPU box is in another room (here, for security) and extender cables
were used to connect display, mouse and keyboard.  This would place
audible noise as well as EMI farther from the recording equipment.
IMHO, placing a PC in a container is reducing the supply of ambient
air required for cooling (which is why the fans are there in the 
first place: to suck up cooler ambient air and blow out warmer
air which gets diluted by the cooler air).  If I rearranged my
studio, I could do this.  As always, YMMV.
