Fw: 23 transistors!

I loaded it down to 22ohms before the waveform started to
degenerate. The Arp VCO has a lower output than what I
am used to seeing from other designs. There was no
noticeable level shift and it didn't need any more gain so I
left it off. It wouldn't hurt to leave it on but it doesn't hurt to
take it off of this particular VCO. I'll try it on some of the
others sooner or later, I'm sure I'll find a situation where
it's needed.

Yeah, and with fewer parts too! But are you sure it is a good idea to
eliminate the emitter follover?
Maybe the waveform will be affected by different loads then? Or maybe the
output impedance isn't low enough? Have you tried loading it with say a 10k
input impedance? What happens?
