MAT 02 etc

Analog devices is not offering samples anymore of MAT 02,03 and they are
not showing the price when I went to the order page. They have added an
number of different types to the line so I assume it is on the way up in
usage instead of down.

I considered the LM394 asa replacement but I have not been able to find
out if they hold up in vcos the way a MAT 03 does when potted with a
small tempco. Stability is important but I would prefer not to build
a chip heater unless it is a requirement. I looked at the SSM 2010 but
I am very wary of using SSM chips in the volume that would be needed for
this project I am sitting on five SSM/Curtis machines that I am still
collecting replacements for. If they hadn't abandoned their synth chip
line I wouldn't be so wary of their trademark.
