I think this may be too hard to do. What sort of noise are you getting?
The chorus box generates so much noise you can't mask that. Changing the
op-amps in the signal path will not have much of an effect either. A
simple noise gate would be a solution. The SSM2000 chip is a good
solution if you don't mind building a bit of circuitry. See the Analog
Devices website for details of this little IC.
