Well, he's not the only one. I've been doing this since my school days too. Way too
often, resistors wound up in the wrong drawer... Most often, you got 10R instead of
10K, or something like that.

I have some problems with colors too (at least on resistors with brown background, blue
are better), so I just used my Fluke. I am a bit lazy too, and I found it a lot quicker than
trying to read the color code. I do a measurement by reflex now, whenever I pick a
resistor out of the drawer...

SMD resistors are worse, but they have text markings which are readable using a magnifying
glass (at least the 1209 and 0805 variants I've used - with smaller ones you are out of luck).
