OT: Designing Loudspeaker Enclosures

Does anyone know any decent sites that cover the design of Sub-Woofers
(mainly Boxes) for Club Sound systems?

And, if for a domestic (home) system would it be possible to build a Single
Sub-woofer and run it off the same amplifier which powers the main 2-way
speakers? Would this arouse issues of impedance?

Oh yeah.... does anyone agree that the theory behind "Bi-wiring" (not
Bi-amping) does not make sense? Can anyone *please* explain the logic to me?
