this makes me think about my mixer, a boss 8 channel affair. it only
has post-fader sends (I think the terminology is correct). Anyhow,
the inputs can be send to any of two external FX sends, but only if
the fader for that input is up; the fader controls the over-all level
that gets sent to the FX out. Would this be a post-fader send? My
old board had pre fader sends, which was much better I thought, as the
send was a pot anyhow, and I could mix the signal with that. So
basically, I'm thinking outloud about it, Maybe I could just take the
signal path and split/jump it from just before the channel fader and
route it to the FX send? Doesn't seem too hard I think, but I'm
probably missing something huge here.
